Oligosaccharides
The term Oligosaccarides is derived from "oligo" - meaning, a few- and "saccharide" - meaning, sugar. An oligosaccharide is a complex carb containing three to six units of simple sugars (monsaccharides).
Oligosaccarides are typically low glycemic index carbs, and help to maintain stable blood glucose levels when eaten as part of a meal.
