Lactobacillus Acidophilus (L. Acidophilus)
Lactobacillus acidophilus (L. acidophilus), which means acid-loving milk-bacterium, is the most commonly used probiotic, or "friendly," bacterium.
This healthy bacterium abides in the intestines and vagina and protect these organs against fungi or other dreadful organisms that can cause disease. It also produces vitamin K, lactase, and anti-microbial substances such as acidolin, acidolphilin, lactocidin, and bacteriocin.
