Dandelion Root
Dandelion root or Taraxacom officinale, is an excellent source of vitamins A, B complex, C and D, as well as the minerals potassium, iron, zinc, and calcium. It also supplies beneficial carotenoids, fatty acids, flavonoids, and phytosterols. It has been used as a gentle laxative, as a digestive aid, as a treatment for liver and kidney problems, and as a relief for inflammation, boils, fever and diarrhea. It is known to stimulate the appetite and promote digestion.
