5 Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP)
5-hydroxytryptophan, also known as 5-HTP, is the intermediate metabolite of the essential amino acid L-tryptophan (LT) in the biosynthesis of serotonin. Serotonin is an important chemical in the brain involved in mood, behavior, appetite, and sleep.
