EpiCor is a unique naturally occurring immunogen with a quite odd history. This dried yeast fermentate comes from a non-pathogenic yeast that is commonly used in making beer and baking, Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It was discovered by a bread and beer company in Cedar Rapids in the state of Iowa. The company, called Diamond V Mills, used the same yeast for their products.
