More Sex Equals A Healthier Life

The benefits of sex rival no other activity. Not only is it a great physical workout but it does so much for your overall health. It controls your blood pressure and decreases your risk of heart disease as well as relieves pain. Sex promotes emotional well being by minimizing your stress and it also strengthens your personal relationship with your partner, which can make you feel more relaxed and less anxious. New studies are now showing that increasing sexual activity can even increase fertility and make your chances of getting pregnant much higher.

The simple answer to fertility may in fact be having lots of sex. A new study undertaken by an Australian Centre for Infertility and In-Vitro Fertilization studied the effects of sex on the health of sperm. They studied 118 men with sperm that had above average DNA damage. The participants were asked to ejaculate every day for seven days. At the end of the 7 days their DNA damage on the sperm was again measured. They found that the participants’ to their sperm count fell to 26 percent down from 34 percent. Other studies have indicated that better sperm quality results in higher pregnancy rates. The reason that sex may work so well for healthy sperm is b use the longer the sperm sits in the body the more damage it has. Regular sex gets it out of the body before the DNA can be badly damaged.  The older men get, the more damaged their sperm DNA becomes due to the natural aging of the body. B use of this, regular sex for couples that are older is essential if they are trying to get pregnant. Women also become less fertile as they age which makes the health of sperm all the more important.

No matter if you are trying to get pregnant or not, more sex equals a healthier life. Try to have sex at least three times a week or more if you can. Unfortunately, as the time goes on in a relationship sex begins to dwindle. Most couples do not have near enough sex to stay healthy and happy in their relationship. Discuss with your partner the reasons why you are not having sex and vow to do so more to improve your love life and health.
