Bifidobacterium Longum (B. Longum)
Bifidobacterium longum is an anaerobic, non-halophilic, gram-positive bacterium that is commonly found in the intestines of humans and is among the first colonizers of the sterile digestive tract of newborns and predominate in breast-fed infants. It is useful in preventing diarrhea for antibiotic treated patients, reducing cholesterol, alleviating lactose intolerance symptoms, stimulating immune system, and preventing cancer.
