Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin, a naturally occurring fat-soluble carotenoid pigment, is a powerful antioxidant and and immune system booster. As an antioxidant, it exhibits free radical scavenging activity and protects against lipid peroxidation and oxidative damage of LDL-cholesterol, cell membranes, cells, and tissues. As an immune system booster, it increases the number of antibody-producing cells which help fight infections and cancer.
