Antioxidants
Antioxidants are the naturally occurring nutrients found in certain fruits and vegetables. They are proven to help defend human cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
Well-known antioxidants found in food include vitamins A, C and E, selenium and zinc, and all of the phytonutrient carotenoids. These are all capable of counteracting the damaging effects of oxidation.
