Acetylsalicylic Acid, commonly known in the market as Aspirin, is an acetyl derivative of salicylic acid. It is said to be an analgesic (relieves pain), antipyretic (reduces fever), anti-inflammatory (reduces inflammation), and platelet aggregation inhibitor (anticlotting agent).
